Hey happy to hear your readership is growing!

And so tickled to see a shoutout to the Cheektowaga Times! That was my first reporter job. I wrote the news, took photos, laid out the paper, took out the garbage and sometimes delivered the paper to the stores when the usual guy was in vacation.

I voted for the something else and that something is the golumpki of course. They look delicious! Or do they not count as dumplings?

You're from WnY too?? How cool. I grew up on the East Side. My mom now lives in Depew. Miss those old newspapers...

Wendy I grew up in East Aurora and lived on east side of Buffalo during college and then in Allentown for a couple years after school. And I covered Depew for the Cheektowaga Times! Say hi to your mom for me!

Since I've never been much of a social media hound, Substack is kinda fun as its more of a dialog and not much shouting. I enjoy some of the Newsletters a lot.

I just remember our house being littered with newspapers :) We typically got the Sunday NY Times also. We still have two serious daily newspapers in our area. Currently nothing filling the niche of the NY Post just yet.

I just decided to do dumplings cause everyone makes them. If I had to choose between pierogi and golumpki I would go for the cabbage roll also.

I couldn't stop laughing (childishly) about the bear. I had never seen the commerical in the first place.

I learned about a new concept today: The "Tethercat Principle" (i.e., "Offscreen Inertia"). 😊 I like cats, bit the cartoon is pretty funny, especially the expressions on the dogs's faces. Thank you for the lead.

My Mom made Golumpki, too. They are indeed wonderful!

The Farside was so funny with almost no words. I enjoy animals. Dogs and cats are lots of fun. One of the joys of making golumpki is I think of my Mom. Thanks for reading and commenting!
