My dog converted to vegetables as snacks many years ago b/c our country vet told us dog treats just not necessary. He's a full blown veggie freak. Carrots are great but cucumbers are his true love. He LOVES roasted brussel sprouts and eats corn off the cob. Silly. Denny is now 16 and has white teeth and I am not going to brush dog teeth. Carrots do the job.

I think carrots are a thing for dogs. We have some handy always and I think dogs just love things that crunch loud.
