Mark, I wish I lived in your town as I'd definitely want to be a member of this book club. The efforts of J & G are phenomenal and those efforts are what makes this book club so successful. I look forward to your newsletters next year with reviews of the books you will read every month. Thanks for the shoutout and the kind words about my newsletter. It's people like you that I've met through my newsletter efforts that makes this all worthwhile. :)
Can't wait to see the pic. Yes, I can see that MN would be difficult in the winter and because of that I'd probably never live there. I was born and raised in Southern California and from where I lived, I could see the snow on the mountains in the winter (as close as I wanted to get to the snow) and I could be at the beach in less than an hour year round. I'm rather spoiled on a mild year round climate. I now live in North Texas were we get our share of the cold, but not usually much ice/snow. We definitely get our share of the hot and humid and on those days especially, I long for the mild year round climate. :)

MN is great but an acquired taste during the winter. I will send you a photograph of J's little library and you will be amazed.

I finally got the inside scoop on what this history book club is all about! A fun and informative read!
John & Gish do a lot!
