Thanks for reading one of the oldies :) That video will be a tough to top impromptu moment. The boy wakes up with a bit of a startled expression. So cool!

It was fun reliving the joys of the fair through your eyes. You may enjoy it more than I do. Seems months ago now, though. That's how time works, I guess. See you this week.

I think the Fair, its spectacle, its non-profit status, its extraordinary level of volunteerism, and the just plain fun of it PERSONIFIES what living in Minnesota is actually like. It is a microcosm of life here and I like it.

I wrote this the day after attending. I write my posts in advance and post them to the next available Tue/Sat. Lots of times they are just drafts or ideas but this one was easy.

If I post about the thorough beating the Vikings meted out to the Packers, the Packers may be 2-5 by then :) [or maybe not]

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

It is hard in the modern world to have events which bring rural and urban together. I think the urbanites put aside their cynicism and the rural embrace crowds. Each group is conceding and the result is just great.

It is why the animal barns are amongst my favorites. Seed art is the same. These are activities that are open to all. I hope there is never an NFT blue ribbon at the Fair :)
